We believe everyone should have the chance to read, share, and discover books. Our Community Bookshelves are accessible, free, and always open. They’re installed in convenient locations and filled with books for all ages and interests.

Whether you’re looking for your next favorite read or have books to pass along, these shelves are here for you. Take a book. Leave a book. It’s that simple.

Find a Community Bookshelf Near You

Here’s a list of current bookshelf locations:

• Lakeview Mall (Outside Pharmasave)
• Lakes District Hospital (In the Emergency waiting room and the second floor waiting room)
• Muriel Mould Neighbourhood Learning Centre (In the foyer)
• MacEwen Dog Park
• Spirit Square Little Library (Next to Real Food’s beachside café)
• Kinette Park Little Library
• The Link Food Centre Little Library

We restock these shelves with donated books approximately once a month.

How It Works

• See a book you like? Take it! It’s yours to read and enjoy.
• Have a book to share? Leave it on any shelf: just be sure it’s in good condition and appropriate for a general audience.
