Reading Buddies
Helping younger students become stronger readers—with a little help from older students!
The Burns Lake Public Library runs the Reading Buddies program. It pairs older and younger students to read together outside of school.
A student in Grade 10, 11, or 12 is matched with a student in Grade 2, 3, or 4. They meet in person to read and practice together in a fun, relaxed setting.
The program is open to all eligible students in the Lakes District.
